In his book Invitation to a Journey, the late M.Robert Mulholland, Jr. describes spiritual formation as the process of being conformed to the image of Christ for the sake of others. Have you ever deeply considered where you currently are in that journey? Describe the spiritual disciplines or means of grace that you are participating in to allow God to form you?

Our Life Group used these questions last night as we discussed our personal spiritual journeys. Common to the group was the importance of spending time with the Lord through reading, meditating and studying the scriptures, prayer, attending worship and living out our faith daily. As we were open and candid with each other about our personal walks, we encouraged each other. Accountability to one another is important in spiritual formation. I thank the Lord for my brothers and sisters in Christ!

Accountability is a true gift that has been given only a partial and often misshapen application. Like any relationship, a community of trusted accountability takes time to develop. Most of the time we quit on it before any fruit came come of it. Keep on!
